Hello Pittsburgh Photographers!

Welcome to the Pittsburgh Photography website! The only website built specifically for Pittsburgh Photographers and those looking to find a photographer in Pittsburgh.

This website is designed for and by local photographers right here in Pittsburgh. The purpose is to amplify our work. If you want your work amplified, then join us.

Over the next few weeks we’ll be building out the site in order to help the local photography community to have a place to share their events, find other photographers to collaborate with, and for customers to find us all.

Of course, if you’re a Pittsburgh photographer we welcome you to join us! In fact, we’d love to have more volunteers. If you’d like to volunteer then contact us to let us know!

Find Photographers Near Pittsburgh

One of the reasons for building this site was that we wanted to make it easier to find photographers near Pittsburgh. First, so that we can all thrive and grow as professionals and second, so we can find and help each other. At the moment we’re working on creating a database that all Pittsburgh photographers will be able to join. In addition, they’ll be able to choose their specialties making it even easier for clients to search for them.

Photography is as lonely or collaborative of a profession as we make it. Personally, we feel that community is essential to. Therefore, we want you to be able to find and meet with other local photographers who you can learn from and potentially collaborate with.

Getting Attention For Photography in Pittsburgh

You might think that there is only so much business in Pittsburgh. As such you might be wondering how collaborating or sharing with your fellow local photographers will help. Allow me to explain.

First, you’re right there is a limited number of clients within the area. However, there are more than enough to keep nearly all of us busy no matter what we photograph.

Second, this website isn’t just here for local clients to find you. While it’s true that this is one goal, it’s not the only one. After all, we firmly believe that there are significant numbers of photographers in Pittsburgh who are doing work that should be recognized nationally or even globally. Therefore, we want to help boost the signal for all of us. We want to show the world that they need to pay attention to the amazing photography coming out of Pittsburgh.
